Baalbek and the Roman ruins are old and awesome; the city is credited with being continuously habituated for over 8,000 years. I have a lot of pictures that show the enormity of the temples but the composition of this photo is meaningful to me. I enjoy that it shows both ruins and the white-capped mountains in the distance. Lebanon the name is thought to come from the word for β€˜white’ referring to the snow on the mountains
